What I Do During My Off From Work

 


Hello readers! So it is my day off from work today and all I want to do is to become productive the best that I can. Working in a BPO industry will give you a shifting schedule and you would say goodbye to your daily routine as your shit always changes from time to time. As for me, my day-offs for this week will be today, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We were previously on a blocked schedule where all of our day-offs are on weekends, Saturday, and Sunday, but as we agreed during our application that we are amenable to work on a shifting schedule, here we are now and having weekdays off. That is still not bad, however. As long as we have worked so we can pay our bills and have food to eat on our tables coming from my salary. 

Should I say goodbye to my work-life balance? Well, I would say not that much at all. I am still able to go to the gym, clean the house and do blogging. I am still thankful that I am now on the day shift schedule since my mom needs assistance almost all the time as she has just got out of the hospital due to a mild stroke. She is getting better every day which is really great, but we still need to make sure she is safely doing everything from her daily exercise to sleeping at night. 


First off, I opened my laptop today to check the stock market. I bought stocks from AC Energy today. I and my mom already have stocks of DITO, MerryMart, and Nickel Asia. I will make my blog impression for DITO soon as to why we purchased it. DITO will be launched this March 2021 as the country's third Telco to offer 5G. I find it really a good investment to start while it is still cheap compare to PLDT's over one thousand per share and Globe's over two thousand per share.

Next is to go to the gym. Not just I don't want to waste the money I spend to pay for the monthly gym subscription, but of course, I really want my body to become toned-not muscular. So I would do some abs workout at the gym - decline sit-ups from the picture above and run on the treadmill. Well, it is still not safe to go outside as there is still the threat of the CoVid19 virus, but having a strong immune system with the help of going to the gym gives me confidence and makes me feel immortal. Haha! I work out for one hour, then go to the supermarket to buy my needs for the whole week. My week starts from Thursday to Monday. 

I go home to wash the dishes and do some household chores while listening to 2012 music. I am hard of hearing, but I can still understand and follow all the songs from 2012 and earlier years. I was once a music enthusiast and would go to a videoke station anywhere to sing my chest voice out loud until I reach my head voice going out of tune huhu! I am a fan of Filipino artists like Kyla, Nina, Sitti Navarro, and M.Y.M.P. Their voices are just very relaxing every time I play their music. While I like foreign artists like Lady Gaga, Katy, Perry, Jessie J, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and all the covers of the Boyce Avenue and Joseph Vincent. I did not include the queens, Celine Dion, Songbird Supreme, Mariah Carey, and Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez on my daytime playlist as I have them sing for me at night for me to sleep soundly.

Then I would call it a day! I wish I can go outside, but there are not many places to go outside at this time as the malls are closing early while there is still the threat of the pandemic. This is not my typical day off routine, honestly. I go outside to eat and spend my fortune on anything I see that I think I need. I should say thanks to the pandemic, I get the chance of investing money in the stock market.
