Asia's Skylark, Jessica Villarubin Making Some Noise
The Philippines, a country of very talented singers. First is Lea Salonga, the Disney legend who has a voice very much clearer than my future. The voice behind Disney movies like Mulan and Jasmine of Aladin. I already wrote here in this blog that I am a hard-of-hearing person (PWD) and I find it hard to understand every single word of a song, but when I hear Lea in her YouTube videos, I can understand most of what is coming out of her music. I hear every note and every technic very clear, though not as loud as what a normal person without a hearing problem can.
Next is the Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez. The mother of all the young singers today. The singer who can hit A2 - B6. I grew up listening to her songs. Yes, I was able to hear ever since I was born until 2012 until measles hit me, so that explains it. Haha! There is also Asia's Nightingale, Lani Misalucha who can sing several genres of songs like pop, rock, soul, jazz, R&B, and opera arias. She can copy the voice of many singers like Whitney Houston, Regine Velasquez, and other Filipino divas. Not to mention Asia's Queen of Songs, Pilita Corrales, the Queen of Soul, Jaya who is the daughter of the country's Queen of Rock, Elizabeth Ramsey.
The Philippines' vocal trinity, Jaya, Regine, and Lani.
Queen of R&B, Kayla with R&B princess, Nina, Carol Banawa, and Sarah Geronimo.
The new generation singers, Klarisse, De Guzman, Jonalyn Viray, Filipino Popstar Royalty, Sarah Geronimo, and Angeline Quinto.
Song Flair Songstress, Aicelle Santos, and the Divine Princess, Maricris Garcia.
Jessica Villarubin, the newest star of GMA star and the grand champion of The Clash Season 3 is now being called by her fans the Asia's Skylark. She is the newest superstar in the network after Regine Velasquez-Alcasid transferred to ABS-CBN together with her husband, Ogie Alcasid.
Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, together with Kyla, Jaya, Jonalyn Viray, Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, and Jay-R transferred to ABS-CBN and left GMA with the new generation singers like Rachelle Ann Go, Aicelle Santos, Maricris Garcia Rita Daniela, and Julie Ann San Jose.
Having Jessica Villarubin adds excitement to All Out Sundays, the Sunday variety show of the GMA network. Kudos to The Clash panel, Asia's Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista, Comedy Queen, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Concert Queen, Pops Fernandez for choosing Jessica Villarubin. I still like the other finalists, Fritzie Magpoc who sings like Jaya, Jennie Gabrielle who sings like Lani in some of her vocal technics, Renz Robosa who was the champion of the singing competition in Dizizit, and the beautiful Sheemee Buenaobra who can also hit high notes like The Clash Season 1 champion, Golden Canedo. Jerimiah Tiangco is The Clash Season 2 grand champion.
